We want to hear from YOU!
The NAI South Central 2027 Call for Papers is now open!
We’re looking for interpreters, educators, naturalists, park professionals, and other members of our South Central community who have knowledge, experiences, stories, skills, or ideas to share.
This is your opportunity to help shape our conference and bring something meaningful to your fellow interpreters. Whether you have a tried-and-true program, a fresh idea, a lesson learned, a great story, or a skill you’re excited to teach, we want to hear what you have to share!
Although your site might not be on Route 66, don’t let that keep you from considering a presentation.
Think creatively, for example:
- What are your best Interpretive Kicks and Tricks?
- How do you attract tourists? Why do they travel to see you?
- How do you provide warm hospitality, nostalgia or lasting memories?
- Do you have an effective traveling program? Or a program about transportation?
- What management techniques do you use for ‘moving a crowd or people” or inspiring interpreters?
- Share why your nature or culture moves people down the road toward understanding
- How have you “kicked interpretation up a notch?”
Proposal Deadline: October 8, 2026. The program committee will evaluate proposals and notify applicants by December 14, 2026. Session times run 15-minutes (for mini-presentations), 45-min, or 75-min (limited number).
